how to reach B.& B. Del Giglio
The B&B Del Giglio is situated in San Donato in Poggio (Municipality of Tavarnelle Barberino) in the region of Tuscany, province of Florence. It is a small medieval village on the top of a hill, at 418 meters, in the heart of the Chianti (area of the famous wine production Chianti Classico – Gallo Nero), surrounded by vineyards, olive trees, oaks and pine woods. The B&B is situated half way between Florence (Km28) and Siena (Km36).
The apartment is situated in the medieval village, between the Florentine Door and the Bell Tower. In the village there are several shops and services: Two Banks (only with 2 ATMs for withdrawing cash in Self mode), Post-Office, Pharmacy, Physician, Several Restaurants, Two “Pizzeria”, Groceries, 2 Clothes Shops, Beauty center, Garage, Woman’s hairdresser, Bar, Cinema/Theatre, Tabocconist, Newsstand, Internet Point, Tourism office, Buses for Florence and Siena, Car Repair, Gas Station.

  • By Airplane

    From Florence Airport (FLR): With Rental Car

  • By Car

    IF COMING FROM THE NORTH : Highway A1 to Florence, exit at “Firenze Impruneta”, follow the signals for Siena (take the Firenze-Siena speedway, that you will find, on the right, at mt.100 immediately after the tollgate).
    Exit “San Donato in Poggio” (Km. 20 – Exit n° 8) follow signals for San Donato in Poggio (Km 3), park next to the old town, close to the towers.
    Set the GPS to: via Senese 89
    . 5 meters ahead there is the secondary entrance to the B&B with a sign and flags. Ring the Bell
    . 10 meters ahead on the left side begins the free car park closest to the B&B Del Giglio. next to the public gardens

    the Siena – Firenze- speedway (4-lane freeway, take Siena).
    Exit “San Donato in Poggio” (Km. 35 – Exit n° 8) follow signals for San Donato in Poggio (Km 3), park next to the old town, close to the towers.
    Set the GPS to: via Senese 89
